Terms of Use
Effective October 24, 2026
Who we are
This website, loosepieces.consulting (the "Site"), is operated by Paul Pelayo, doing business as loosepieces, a business consultancy based in Orlando, Florida ("loosepieces," "we," "us," or "our"). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.
Information, not advice
Everything on the Site, including our descriptions of our services, the four pillars, case studies and any other content, is general information about loosepieces and how we work. It is not business, financial, legal, tax, accounting or other professional advice, and it isn't tailored to your situation.
We provide advice only to clients under a signed engagement agreement. Please don't make decisions about your business based on the Site alone.
The Site is provided "as is"
We work to keep the Site accurate and current, but we make no promises or warranties, express or implied, that its content is complete, accurate, up to date or fit for any particular purpose. Content may change or be removed at any time without notice.
What you share with us
We're glad to hear about your business. Please keep in mind that information you send us through email, our booking tool or a discovery session is not covered by any confidentiality obligation until we both sign an agreement that says so. We treat what you share with care and use it only to respond to you and to understand whether we're a good fit to work together, but we'd ask that you hold back anything truly sensitive until an agreement is in place.
Booking a discovery session
Discovery sessions are scheduled through a third-party scheduling service. Booking a session doesn't create a client relationship or obligate either of us to work together. Any engagement begins only when both parties sign a written agreement.
Links to other sites
The Site may link to third-party services and sites we don't control, such as our scheduling tool and social media. We aren't responsible for their content, terms or privacy practices, and your use of them is at your own risk and governed by their own terms.
Our name, logo and content
The loosepieces name, logo, written content, design and other materials on the Site belong to loosepieces and are protected by copyright and trademark laws. You're welcome to view and share links to the Site for your own personal or business reference, but please don't copy, reproduce, modify or reuse our materials without our written permission. Names and marks of other businesses that appear on the Site belong to their respective owners.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, loosepieces will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or other damages arising from your use of, or reliance on, the Site or its content. Some places don't allow certain limitations of liability, so parts of this section may not apply to you; where that's the case, our liability is limited to the greatest extent the law allows.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll change the effective date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the Site after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute relating to the Site will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Orange County, Florida.

Privacy Policy

The short version
We collect only what we need to talk with you and do good work. We don't sell your information, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.
What we collect
Information you give us. When you email us, call us or book a discovery session, we receive what you choose to share, such as your name, email address, phone number, business name and anything you tell us about your business.
Information collected automatically. Our hosting provider keeps standard technical logs when you visit the Site, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you view, to keep the Site running and secure. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the Site, such as the pages viewed, the type of device and general location. It uses cookies to do this. You can block these cookies in your browser settings or with Google's opt-out tool. We don't use advertising cookies. Our third-party scheduling tool may use cookies needed to make booking work.
How we use it
- To reply to your messages and schedule conversations
- To prepare for and carry out discovery sessions, proposals and client work
- To send invoices and keep the business records we're required to keep
- To keep the Site secure and working properly
We won't add you to a mailing list or send you marketing emails unless you ask us to.
Who we share it with
We share information only with trusted third-party service providers that help us run loosepieces, such as providers for email, file storage, scheduling and website hosting, and only as needed for them to do that work.
We don't sell or rent your personal information. We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of loosepieces or others.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as we need it for the purposes above, and for as long as we're required to keep business and tax records. After that, we delete it.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time to show you the information we have about you, correct it or delete it. Just email compliance@loosepieces.consulting and we'll take care of it. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your local laws, and we'll honor those requests too.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including secure, reputable service providers. No method of sending or storing information online is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
Children
The Site is meant for business owners and is not directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we update this Privacy Policy, we'll change the effective date at the top of this page.
